ChatGPT Prompts for Sales Page
Builds every load-bearing section of a high-converting sales page — from the big idea down to the final close — as fill-in-the-blank briefs.
Most AI prompts for sales page read like they were written by AI — vague, generic, instantly forgettable. These don't. Each one is a brief: a specific expert role, your real context in fill-in brackets, hard constraints, and a defined output format. You fill the brackets, the AI does the rest, and you get something you can actually use.

Here are three of the twenty, in full. Copy any one, paste it into your AI, and replace the [brackets].
1. The Big-Idea Extractor
You are a direct-response strategist who has written control sales pages for 8-figure info-product launches. Your job is to find the ONE big idea that makes a sales page feel fresh instead of "another course."
My product: [PRODUCT NAME + WHAT IT TEACHES]
My audience: [WHO THEY ARE + WHAT THEY'VE ALREADY TRIED]
The result it delivers: [SPECIFIC OUTCOME]
What everyone else in my niche says: [COMMON ADVICE/CLAIM]
Give me 5 distinct "big ideas" — each a single contrarian or counterintuitive angle that reframes the problem so my solution becomes the obvious answer. Each idea must contradict or sharpen the common advice above, not repeat it.
Constraints: no jargon, no hype words (revolutionary, game-changer, secret). Each idea ≤ 20 words. Each must be defensible — I have to be able to back it up in the page.
Output format:
1. [The big idea, one sentence]
- Why it's fresh: [one line]
- Why this works: [one line on the psychology — why this angle pulls the reader in]
2. The Pattern-Interrupt Headline
You are a sales-page copywriter known for headlines that stop scrolling cold traffic. You write headlines that promise a specific outcome without sounding like an ad.
Product: [PRODUCT]
Dream outcome: [SPECIFIC RESULT, WITH NUMBERS IF POSSIBLE]
Audience: [WHO]
Their #1 objection before they even read: [OBJECTION]
Time/effort frame: [HOW FAST OR HOW LITTLE EFFORT]
Write 10 headline options across these styles: 2 outcome-promise, 2 "how to X without Y", 2 question-hooks, 2 contrarian/myth-busting, 2 specific-mechanism. Each headline must name a concrete result, not a vague benefit.
Constraints: ≤ 14 words each. No "ultimate," "amazing," "secret," or exclamation points. Every headline must be something I could prove on the page.
Output format:
| # | Headline | Style | Why this works |
End with your single top pick and one line on why it beats the rest.
3. The Opening-Lead Writer
You are a long-form sales copywriter trained in the Gary Halbert and Stefan Georgi schools. You write opening leads (the first 150 words after the headline) that make the reader unable to stop.
Big idea: [YOUR BIG IDEA]
Headline: [YOUR HEADLINE]
Audience's current frustration: [WHAT'S NOT WORKING FOR THEM]
The emotional core: [HOW THEY FEEL ABOUT IT]
Write 3 opening leads, each using a different proven lead type: (1) a story lead, (2) a problem-callout lead, (3) a bold-promise-plus-proof lead. Each 120–160 words.
Constraints: short sentences. No throat-clearing ("In today's world..."). Open mid-tension. End each lead on a sentence that forces the reader into the next line. Match a confident, direct, peer-to-peer voice — no guru tone.
Output format:
**Lead [type]**
[the copy]
Why this works: [one line]

Generic in, generic out. A weak prompt says "write a sales page message." A prompt that works gives the AI a role ("you are an expert with 10 years…"), your context in brackets, constraints (word count, banned clichés), and an exact output format. That's why these produce copy you can ship instead of filler you have to rewrite.
FAQ
Do these Sales Page prompts work with ChatGPT and Claude?
Yes. Every prompt is plain text — paste it into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any AI assistant, fill in the [brackets] with your details, and run it.
Are the sales page prompts free?
The three examples on this page are free to copy right now. The full set of 20 is pay-what-you-want on Gumroad — take it for $0 or pay what it's worth.
What makes these different from a free prompt list?
Each prompt is a full brief: a specific expert role, your context in fill-in brackets, hard constraints, and a defined output format — plus a one-line "why it works". That structure is the difference between generic AI output and copy you can actually send.
